Understanding The Ego, Power and Desire University Thesis - 1990 A radical spiritual renewal is the only solution to living in harmony with 'nature'. Understanding the ego and how the ego generates an unhealthy relationship to 'nature' through the key drivers of power and desire is the central theme of this exploration. My research argues that we cannot win the game of the ego. Just by playing the game the ego wins.
